The City of Kitchener has extended its snow event until 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, December 11. While the snow event is in effect, street parking is prohibited or you risk being ticketed and towed. Overnight parking exemptions are cancelled at this time.

As the largest non-profit Chinese association in the region, Waterloo Region Chinese Community Association (WCCA) is planning to stage a vibrant and dazzling “Chinese Festival Day” this summer. The event has been supported by the City of Waterloo and United Way. Promoting the awareness of Chinese culture and appreciation of cultural diversity, “Chinese Festival Day” will offer various activities from performances of traditional Chinese dances and music to Chinese food tasting, from Chinese arts display to hands on craft making and learning. These are only the tip of the iceberg we are going to throw at this party. After all the goal of this event is to connect communities of all the ethnic groups in the area to enhance the social and cultural cohesion and cherish Canada's multiculturalism.
