9:00 AM - 9:15 AM: Welcome and Opening

Opening Remarks by NCCEEP representative: Brief introduction to the event, its 
purpose, and the importance of Black History Month.

National Anthem: A performance of the national anthem to set a reflective and 
unifying tone.

Land Acknowledgment: Recognize the Indigenous land and honor its history.

9:15 AM - 9:30 AM: Drum Session 1

• Traditional Drumming Performance:
A high-energy drum session to celebrate African cultural heritage.

9:30 AM - 9:45 AM: Spoken Word Presentation 1

• Poetry/Spoken Word: A powerful spoken word performance highlighting 
themes of resilience, identity, and Black history.

9:45 AM - 10:00 AM: Showcase of African Attire

• Fashion Presentation: A vibrant showcase of traditional and modern African 
clothing, with commentary on the cultural significance of the designs and fabrics.

• Interactive Dance:
Open to everyone to freely join in a lively African dance session.
