The "M" word: exploring motherhood in the 21st century - This event has already occurred
LOCATION | Zoom
Mothers in Canada have always played a central role in family life. Today, there’s no question that the social, economic, cultural, and environmental contexts that shape – and are shaped by – motherhood have evolved.
This discussion will explore the diversity of experiences, challenges, and progress that women and families have faced since the turn of the 21st century and offer insights into what you can do to support and advance the women and mothers in your life.
Panelists will share stories, experiences, and research with the goal of making space for diverse experiences and perspectives. Participants will gain insights into the changes, challenges, and triumphs of mothers' experiences in recent history and feel a sense of empowerment and connection at the close of the event.
This event is the first offering in our four-part 2021 Elevating Laurier Leaders series. In addition to joining us for this event, we hope you'll join us for other important conversations relating to women's experiences and leadership.
